London Shoot

Postby Trevor » Sun Oct 08, 2017 4:15 pm

Hi everyone.

For those members coming along to the London shoot I have put together a little hand out which may help with preparing for the visit to London.

This is in Word format. If anyone is unable to download it, message me and I will send it in an email.

Tripods are compulsory.
Dont forget to layer up, it can get chilly and its easier to take items off but you cant put them on if you get cold! Gloves may be useful.
Dont forget to charge your batteries and put a spare in your bag. Batteries can drain quickly if you are doing lots of exposures up to 30 seconds at a time.
Turn off Noise reduction in your camera and ensure you set your ISO to its lowest value.

To be in time for twilight I suggest we aim to get to London for approx 4.30 to 5.00 pm. We intend to start at the Lloyd's building so anyone meeting us there, meet at the postboxes opposite the Lloyd's building on Leadenhall Street say for 5.00 to 5.30 pm?

We can then shoot around there or make our make our way to Tower Bridge for Long exposures at the river and for milky water, then either walk around Lloyd's, Leadenhall (cheese grater) and The Gherkin. Then depending on members preferences we could walk to St Paul's. There are many photo opportunities to shoot this iconic building from the surrounding area.
Any questions please message.

Great pis Trev, I like them all but probably put the three window frames first. I like the mood. You can get a full critique by presenting them to the February meeting !! lol Colin

Great shots Trevor. I love the contrast between the dark and different colours of Leadenhall. St. Paul's is a great shot as well. Jim

Really good Trevor. Love the colour of the bridge on the first one.
I'm going to wait for the night shoot monthly theme to show mine.
