Re: Last night

I too missed this month’s meeting as regrettably I am suffering the Algarve at the moment. However, when you will be basking in 26C heat on Saturday we will be suffering 23C and light rain all day before returning to the very high 20s that has meant having to stay under the sun umbrella.

Aargh. 9:00 am. I probably won’t be there until 9:30 as it will take me about 1 hour to get there

Re: Slice Watch

I don’t have any photos ready to replace the four I have on display so I will try to get into Colchester in the next week or so to take mine away if anyone has pictures ready to hang.

Re: Heybridge Basin and canal boats

It looks like my toe will remain untouched at least until 14th so I am to be there. Is there a meeting point as i don't know the area and will have to rely on sat nav.

As late in month as possible as I may be having a minor surgery on a toenail next week so time to heal required.

Re: D-DAY 75 Dakota flight

I arrived just after 1pm at Sudbury water meadows. They flew over sometime after 4pm and about 1/2 mile away, so much cropping to do even though shot at 500mm.
At least I saw them.

Re: D-DAY 75 Dakota flight

I will join you in spirit but will be doing my photographs in Sudbury at about 2 pm with the hope that they fly overhead. I think that I will go to the water meadows down past the leisure centre as it is a wide open space and if by chance they don’t come over I’ll hunt for a kingfisher or at least a...

Slice Sale

I got a text message this morning to say one of my photos was sold today at £30. It was my B-17 Enola Gay monochrome image taken at Duxford a couple of years ago with two guys in period dress as aircrew and edited in Silver Efex Pro.

Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2018

I am going to this Airshow on Sunday 23rd September. I plan to park at the Trumpington road park and ride and catch the free shuttle bus to Duxford. So much easier than fighting your way through the traffic to a car park miles from the show. Might I see anyone else there?

My sister-in-law, who is an astronomer at Cambridge University, says we will get another chance in January. It was just the length of the eclipse which was unusual, not the eclipse itself apparently.

Let us hope the weather forecast is overly pessimistic and the afternoon showers hold off. Enjoy Denmark. I am aiming to get there a bit after 10. I’ll ring the mobile number listed in the initial message when I arrive.
