Re: Steam evening 14th May 2011

Hi Sarah, Yes it is from 6:00pm onwards on Saturday at Chappel. We will probably get there as near to 6:00pm as we can. There is a fee of £5 per person so as long as our other halfs pay I don't think it will be a problem. I think they just want it known that it is not a ride-on day and don't want lo...

Hi Trevor,
Thanks for the offer but I will be going with David as it is our anniversary that night and we hope to go on for a meal somewhere afterwards.
But definitely see you there!

Re: Steam evening 14th May 2011

Hi Trevor,
I had a look at the East Anglian Railways Museum website and found this http://www.earm.co.uk/events/runningdays.php so I assume we can just turn up anytime from 6:00pm as long as we pay our fiver.

Re: Steam evening 14th May 2011

Hi Trevor,
So sorry I'm only just replying. I got distracted by the sunshine and then the wedding and it went right out of my mind. If you could find out any more about it for me, that would be great.
Thanks.

Jimmy's Farm

Eric mentioned Jimmy's Farm in a post somewhere (couldn't find it tonight :(). The butterfly house would be good for macro shots. I did have a look on their website as I had the idea of going there for this month's theme but the actual butterfly house doesn't open until after Easter so too late for ...

Colchester Arts Centre

I couldn't make last week's meeting as I went to see the Seth Lakeman Trio http://www.sethlakeman.co.uk/ perform at the Arts Centre. It was a great night. I brought my camera and was able to get a few shots. I've put them in an album in the gallery http://www.colchestercreativeshots.net/forum/galler...

Re: Testing email notifications on forum

Thanks Trevor for the screenshot and also to Sara and Nadine who also let me know what was going on with their machines. I know what is causing it, I just need to find the easiest way of fixing it :) although the fact that is didn't happen on the 4th March adds to the confusion somewhat :? Thanks ag...

Re: Testing email notifications on forum

Can those that are getting gobbledygook on the forum posting notification emails please let me know what operating system you are using (Windows Vista, 7 etc) and what email client you are using to view them (Outlook Express for example). I did log on to hubby's PC to view my emails through Outlook ...

I would be interested Trevor. I also have a friend that I think would be keen too. She did contact me the other day about visiting Highgate Cemetery with our cameras as it is something we have spoken about in the past so even if the special photo tour doesn't happen, we might just go along for the n...

Observation: the server time is 1 hour ahead of UK time. Hi Joe, The time settings for the board are set by the user. As in theory you could be a forum user and based somewhere other than the UK. You can change it by going into your User Control Panel (top right) and then choose Board Settings from...

Re: Possible expo venue

I remember seeing advertised in one of the photo magazines a local photo group holding an exhibition here. Interesting that you say the light is good and the space is attractive as I always imagined it would be just a poorly lit corridor so definitely worth exploring. PS I will move this topic to Ex...
