Re: Camera Raw6

Hi Sara, That looks interesting, I will check it out. I have also signed up for a free e-seminar with Adobe on colour correction for photographers on 7th April https://events.adobe.co.uk/cgi-bin/event.cgi?eventid=10965&country=uk&utm_source=http%3a%2f%2fadobecomms.co.uk%2ftw_adobecommslz%2f&utm_medi...

Colchester Arts Centre

I couldn't make last week's meeting as I went to see the Seth Lakeman Trio http://www.sethlakeman.co.uk/ perform at the Arts Centre. It was a great night. I brought my camera and was able to get a few shots. I've put them in an album in the gallery http://www.colchestercreativeshots.net/forum/galler...

Colchester24 Project

I've received a couple of invitations from Chris Farndell in respect of the launch of an exhibition of the 1986 photos of Colchester appertaining to the Colchester24 project. The exhibition is being opened by Sonia Lewis at Colchester LIbrary on Thursday 7th April 10:30am for 11:00am. I am hoping to...

Hi Phil,

Re: Testing email notifications on forum

Thanks Trevor for the screenshot and also to Sara and Nadine who also let me know what was going on with their machines. I know what is causing it, I just need to find the easiest way of fixing it :) although the fact that is didn't happen on the 4th March adds to the confusion somewhat :? Thanks ag...

Re: Testing email notifications on forum

Can those that are getting gobbledygook on the forum posting notification emails please let me know what operating system you are using (Windows Vista, 7 etc) and what email client you are using to view them (Outlook Express for example). I did log on to hubby's PC to view my emails through Outlook ...

Re: Highgate Cemetery Visit

I would be interested Trevor. I also have a friend that I think would be keen too. She did contact me the other day about visiting Highgate Cemetery with our cameras as it is something we have spoken about in the past so even if the special photo tour doesn't happen, we might just go along for the n...

PS If you want your website listed on the About Us page of the Creative Shots' website, let me know and I'll put a link to it. Hi Lisa, Yes, I'd be most happy for you to put a link to my website. It's not strictly dedicated to photography, but there are some shots on there. http://www.robsworld.me....

Hi Phil,
I had a look at the images you posted in the galleries. Looks quite wide and spacious. Quite different to what I was expecting.
Thanks

Re: Prague Photo's

Hi Rob, I've just spent an enjoyable 5 mins with a cup of tea looking at your photos :) . Some great shots. I've not been to Prague before but it looks like a fantastic place to visit for a keen photographer. I especially like the close up of the clock face, the letterbox rooftops with a sprinkling ...

Observation: the server time is 1 hour ahead of UK time. Hi Joe, The time settings for the board are set by the user. As in theory you could be a forum user and based somewhere other than the UK. You can change it by going into your User Control Panel (top right) and then choose Board Settings from...

Re: Possible expo venue

I remember seeing advertised in one of the photo magazines a local photo group holding an exhibition here. Interesting that you say the light is good and the space is attractive as I always imagined it would be just a poorly lit corridor so definitely worth exploring. PS I will move this topic to Ex...

Warley Place - abandoned garden

Did anyone see the edition of Gardeners' World last week when they were doing a special on women in horticulture? I thought the ruined garden of Miss Willmott at Warley Place near Brentwood would be good for a photo shoot. Their website says the spring is a good time with the snowdrops etc. http://w...
