Lee Valley

Post by Ian-Raymant » Sun Mar 31, 2019 10:28 am

Hi Everyone,

You may have noticed a photoshoot topic on this year's programme - Canal/Waterway?Lee Valley/Boating event.

I will be coordinating this and would appreciate opinion on a trip to the Lee Valley Park please.
This venue should provide not only the opportunity to photograph the canal boats but other interesting topics too.

As I say, opinions appreciated.
The date for this will be Saturday August 17th.

Look forward to the feedback.

Many thanks

Ian

As you already know...I'm in 😁
Like you have already said, I think the day will provide plenty to shoot. I will try to look and see what events may be happening as well.

To confirm numbers - how many are interested and/or available for the trip on 17 Aug ? If you could let me know please.

Many thanks

Sorry Ian but I cannot make this one. Got the potential “in-laws” over for a bbq in the afternoon and I think that the good lady Cunningham will string me up by the unmentionables if I’m not there to help prepare. Hope you have a great day and look forward to seeing the images. Richie.

Hi Everyone,

Lee Valley Photoshoot Update - To make sure the day offers something for everyone I'm suggesting The QE2 Park at Stratford. We can then enjoy the Lee Valley Canal, wildlife walks and the park itself [West Ham are playing away on the 17th].
I prefer to travel by train, [Colchester North Station to Stratford] - fortunately there don't appear to be any planned engineering works on that Saturday.
We can agree times nearer the day.
Please let me know who will be joining us.

So far I know that Jim is ok but Trevor and Richie can't make it.
I seem to remember Lisa telling me a while back that she wasn't free on that day either.

Thanks
Ian

Hi Everyone,

Last call for the visit to the QE2 Park next Saturday 17th.

So far we have Me,Jim, Elaine & Phil.
My wife will be coming along with our dog, who will not be allowed near any mud this trip !!!!
I suggest travelling by train to Stratford, there are no engineering works listed & as I said previously, West Ham have an away match.

My thoughts are - meet up at Stratford Station at approx 10am. That allows folk to choose a train or mode of transport that suits.
I am planning the 08.33 from Colchester North Station, which will allow me time to find a central point from where I can text to advise where to meet up.

Hope that all makes sense.

For those joining the trip It would be wise to exchange mobile numbers please - Mine is 07872 932619.

Hope to see you next Saturday

Ian

I think Robert will be coming on the 8.33 too. There may be a discount for a group of three.

Looking forward to it. Phil

Hi Ian

I have to send apologies but I can't make Saturday sadly. I'm project managing a garden at my grandchildrens school and due to non deliveries in the week I have to be there Saturday.

I hope you have a great day xx
