I received the following e-mail in relation to the above event.
As I have an airshow that day Iwont be able to attend but maybe there are some members who would be interested?
"Contact Name: Anne Chambers
Comments: Hello there - I am a member of Colchester Photographic Society and my daughter, who works at Chappel and Wakes Colne steam railway museum tells me of a photographic evening they intend to hold on May 14th - all photo clubs in the region are invited, and I was wondering if any of your members may be interested in details of this event.
PS Your club looks interesting..........................
Hoping for a positive response,
regards

Hi Trevor,
So sorry I'm only just replying. I got distracted by the sunshine and then the wedding and it went right out of my mind. If you could find out any more about it for me, that would be great.
Thanks.

Hi Trevor,
I had a look at the East Anglian Railways Museum website and found this http://www.earm.co.uk/events/runningdays.php so I assume we can just turn up anytime from 6:00pm as long as we pay our fiver.

Hi Trevor,
Thanks for the offer but I will be going with David as it is our anniversary that night and we hope to go on for a meal somewhere afterwards.
But definitely see you there!

Hi, is it at Chappel station, at 6pm on saturday? I would like to go if I could bring hubby Graham? Sarah Moore

Re: Steam evening 14th May 2011
Hi Sarah,
Yes it is from 6:00pm onwards on Saturday at Chappel. We will probably get there as near to 6:00pm as we can. There is a fee of £5 per person so as long as our other halfs pay I don't think it will be a problem. I think they just want it known that it is not a ride-on day and don't want lots of people turning up expecting to ride on a steam train.
I am going to bring a film camera too so I will give that to my hubby to hold if it looks like there is going to be a problem
